I’m Zachary Smith, the founder of Summit Bridge Sustainable Business Consulting.
This business is the result of a lifelong journey — from the beaches of Florida to the mountains of Colorado, and from academic research in Washington D.C. to a life-changing study abroad experience in Bhutan (coming October 2025). Through every chapter, one truth has become clear to me:

My passion for sustainability and equity began in Florida, where I first witnessed the impact of environmental injustice on communities. After moving to Summit County, Colorado, I spent over a decade in Frisco — where my passion for climate, community, and purpose-driven work deepened into a calling.
Later, in Denver, I brought these values to life. While earning my degree in sustainability, I completed a capstone research project centered on equitable development in Washington D.C.’s Anacostia neighborhood. That work helped shape the foundation of Summit Bridge: combining systems thinking with storytelling, strategic insight, and a commitment to justice.
Now, as I prepare for an upcoming study abroad experience in Bhutan — the birthplace of Gross National Happiness (GNH) — I continue to explore how we might redefine success beyond profit, toward something more holistic and humane.
